1 Peter 4:7-11

1. What will we do?

   1. Get Your Mind Right

      1. Be Sober

         1. sound mind, be in your right mind

      2. Pray

         1. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-19 Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit.

   2. Worship God

      1. By Loving One Another

         1. Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

         2. John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

         3. “fervent” charity is love that doesn't stop acting out

      2. By Helping One Another

         1. Determine that your hospitality is an act of worship.

      3. By Ministering to One Another

         1. Determine that your ministering is an act of worship.

2. My job is to make you think about eternity.

   1. It is a long time. Sure you're saved?

      1. John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

      2. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
